Applications
Due Diligence
ECG is able to help aid in the due diligence period of a property transaction when there are historical records that may require further investigation. These potential red flags may include heating oil USTs, waste oil tanks, unknown former structures, and former septic systems.
Confirming Presence/Removal of Historical USTs or other anomalies
ECG is able to help aid investigating the subsurface when there are historical records that may require further examination. These potential red flags may include heating oil USTs, waste oil tanks, unknown former structures, and former septic systems.
Finding Sources of contamination
Environmental investigations at a property can often lead to “hot spots’ at the site where contamination is concentrated, but with an unknown source or with unknown pathways off of a site. ECG can investigate a site to find buried and former sources, or even utility conduits that are creating pathways for contamination to spread
Landfill Delineation
Using an EM31-MK2 that allows us to map variations in ground conductivity such as potential contaminants and miscellaneous debris, we are able to identify the bounds of former landfills often forgotten about and filled over.
Leach Fields/Septic System
Whether it be for purchasing or selling a new home, upgrading a former system, or figuring out a potential path of contamination, we are able to identify septic tanks, cesspools, leaching pits, and leach fields.
Forensics/Grave Locating
By identifying either a void or former excavation, geophysical equipment can identify the approximate location of a grave without disturbing the site.
